Hey all, first a happy and safe new years to you out there wherever you may be! And second, I wanted to give a heads up on my friend Chris. He has released two of his fantastic site designs as wordpress themes. I recommend that you pay him a visit and get ta downloadin’. Not only are these great designs, but any look under the hood and you will see the craftsmanship of how they are built. Chris is an excellent coder and these two offerings should provide for a good amount of study and instruction on how to build a solid, advanced wordpress theme.

During some surfing today I came across 31three. The site has been featured on stylegala as well it should be (and probably other showcase sites as well, I havent checked). I’m very impressed with the layout and organization of content here, the whitespace is great and the content just fits right. Great work Jesse.

I was pleasantly suprised when I visited cssbeauty today and saw the new redesign. This version is much more involved than the previous one, but still maintains a good amount of whitespace. Colors have also changed, replacing that old slate blue, with a much more intense vibrant light blue and yellow. Quite a change from the old version indeed. One other thing that I noticed that was great is that the site seems to be maturing and taking on a bit more diversity with some of the job opportunities, ads and contests. The news section has had a nice facelift as well, all in all I think its a great updated site, more so in a business direction rather than a design direction, in my opinion.
